ALVIN S. SIMPLETON SAYS ENGAGE CUBA

The philosopher of common sense comin atya again. And this time I’m rantin on our policy toward Cuba.

Some folks, and not just Cuban Americans, don’t like the idea of President Obama allowing Cuban Americans to travel there to see their kin folks, or to send money to kin folks in Cuba. And they sure in hell don’t him and nobody else talkin bout liftin that there embargo, no sir, not until them Castro brothers stop being bad boys and give them cubans some democracy.

Come on, folks, how long has that embargo been goin on–40, 50 years, and Fidel didn’t change his ways, and you can’t expect his brother Raul, the new president, to change his. I mean common sense tells me no man who been in power for 50 years is gon give up that power cause somebody in the U. S. of A. Says they gotta do it.

Common sense tells me to engage Raul, lift the embargo. Get Real, if something aint worked in 50 years what make some folks think it gonna work now cause Obama is President?

I say flood the island with Americans throwin money round like it grow on trees, and the folks in Cuba might start some kinda capitalism goin, forcin them brothers to make some changes.

No, it won’t force the Castro brothers to change, the only thing it will accomplish is to show Americans, that currently buy into Sean Penn’s version of Cuba, what Cuba and communism are really like.
