ALVIN S. SIMPLETON SAYS ANOTHER SHOT IN THE GOP FOOT

Man, I tell you them Republicans can’t win for losing. First that senator dude in Nevada, gets caught doing the wrong thing with another woman.

Now, this week, that governor dude in South Carolina done shot the republicans in the other foot, pretending he went hiking in the mountains. How long did he think it’d be before somebody found out where he really was? He married with some kids, and he go all the way to Argentina to see his mistress?

Come sense shoulda tole him what was gon happen. Hell, hadn’t fellow republican just been caught with his pants down with the wrong woman.

What the hell was them dudes thinkin? They in the eye of the public, and they big time politicians, so it stands to reason they being watched. Maybe one time in the long ago past, it was okay to have a mistress on the side, but them days long gone. In these modern times, adultery is truly immoral.

Hey, senator dude and governor dude if them women you was seein so good, why don’t marry them?

ALVIN S. SIMPLETON SAYS I THOUGHT RACISM WAS DEAD

Once again my great state of Tennessee made the national news. Being a philosopher of common sense, you see, ifn somebody had asked me bout racism in my great state, I’d told them that we done moved beyond such nonsense. Well, I’m here to tell you I’d have lied.

My home town newspaper and a blog called “Nashville Scene” reported that one of them staff persons for a state senator emailed a picture of past presidents to other staff persons titled “Historical Keepsake Photo.”

I’m not sure but I’m guessing that the image in the lower left corner refers to our current Black American president.

What happened to the staffer, you might ask? Well, she was orally reprimanded and a reprimand was placed in her personal file.

ALVIN S. SIMPLETON LOOKS A FEW ODDS AND ENDS

I think when folks refer to the president of the United States, they oughta be respectful. What I’m sayin is refer to him as President Obama not Mr. Obama. The writer of an article in the New York Times newspaper on the doctor’s group what is against public health insurance plan referred to the President as “Mr. Obama.” Now what is really strange is he referred to the President as “President Obama” in the very first paragraph of the article. But through out the rest of the article, he was “Mr. Obama.” Respect, my man, is what is due the President.

Somebody please tell me how come we still readin bout that Palin woman? She aint sayin if she gon run for president or for governor, and if she was, do anyone think she really has a chance of winnin? She another one of them folks who is famous for being famous.

A week or so ago, I read in the L. A. Times bout a how the U. S. Military is holding a news photographer in Iraq and aint brought no charges against him.  Now get this, cause it some dangerous stuff: the Military reject, not appealed, rejected a court order to release the man, claimin the man is a security threat. When the U. S. military can reject court orders without somebody’s rollin off, then we better be on our guard cause you may be next. Whatever happen to the rule of law? Was it thrown out the window when we invaded Iraq?

ALVIN S. SIMPLETON SAYS YOU SPITTING IN THE WIND

We don’t see a whole lotta Black faces on network TV these days, and we don’t see none what have an all Black or nearly all Black cast. That there network, CW, I think what it is called, had the shows called “The Game,” and “Everybody Loves Christ,” and a long time ago, or what seems a long time “Girlfriends.”

Well, now, guess what. They canceling “The Game” and “Everybody Loves Christ.” some folks mounted a campaign to try to change the minds of them suits at CW. Common sense shoulda told them they was spittin in the wind. Hell, the TV networks looks to advertisement for dollars, and they don’t think we Black viewers got too many dollars.

You see what I’m gettin at. Them TV networks want young, White folks what got dollars to spend on what young White folks spend on, whatever that is.

Just you take a look at network TV and you’ll see some minor characters in some shows but you don’t see no show what have Black leading characters. Sure we on cable in shows like what Tyler Perry make, but man, we are scarce on cable too, for that matter.

Dollars, my friends, drive the television suits just like they drive every big business, and as far as they concerned, we Black folks don’t have the dollars. They don’t use no common sense neither. I wonder how many of them networks and cable suits done research the economy situation of black folks. No, it aint as bad as the newspapers make it out to be.

I say don’t waste your time writing to them TV suits cause they aint gonna answer.
